Liverpool sits on the north shore of Onondaga Lake, just a few minutes from downtown Syracuse. The village and the surrounding Liverpool area offer a mix of classic village homes, established neighborhoods and newer developments, which makes it popular with first-time buyers, families and anyone who wants convenience without giving up a neighborhood feel.

One of the biggest draws is Onondaga Lake Park, with its long trail along the water that people use year-round for walking, biking and events. Quick access to I-81, I-90 and Route 57 also makes for an easy commute in almost any direction.

Much of the area is served by the Liverpool Central School District, but district lines don't always follow mailing addresses, so I always confirm the district for a specific home before you make an offer. Property taxes vary by town, district and whether a home is inside the village, so I pull the actual tax figures for every home we look at.

Liverpool is also close to Micron's planned semiconductor campus in Clay, which is expected to bring new jobs and housing demand to the north side of Syracuse over the coming years.
